Meet Rubin, another Safari 911 built by the legendary Kelly-Moss Road and Race in Madison, WI. This 1981 Porsche 911SC is the perfect City Safari car ready to plow through any pot hole or spend a weekend tearing up Fire Roads. Rubin has all the creature comforts you'd expect from a Porsche, with well thought out suspension upgrades to get you where a typical 911 won't.
This particular vehicle had an engine out service to reseal, replace cylinder head studs, service the fuel system and replace the motor mounts. While out the entire clutch assembly was also replaced. BBE exhaust headers and a BBE performance muffler was added with Cibie driving and fog lights up front plus LED headlamps so you can see where all the power is taking you.
Kelly-Moss strengthened the front lower control arms and replaced all the bushings. Pair that to the Exe-Tc coil over off-road Rally shocks with custom spring rates, the increased tire radius clearance on the front bumper extensions and lower valance, increased clearance on rear bumper valance and the custom skid plate, this Safari 911 will handle some very serious trails comfortably.
The front and rear bumpers have been painted satin black, while the interior had a full RS upgrade with RS carpet and RS door panels, rounded off with some Sabelt race seats. The exterior is factory original Wine Red Metallic that has been detailed and corrected where needed.
The Wevo shifter, and coupler offer precision shifts through the 915 Gearbox that has rebuilt and gone through. The transmission features a 7:31 ring and pinion, along with a Wavetrac limited slip differential.
Last but not least, no rally build would be complete without some BFG All-Terrain tires and a Lietz style roof rack that hold all your adventure gear.
