In an effort to improve handling, 1972 was the first year that the engine's oil tank was relocated from rearward of the rear axle to in front of it. This was done to help with weight distribution by moving the weight of more than 9 quarts of oil towards to front of the car. Unfortunately this was scrapped after only one year due to inattentive gas station attendants.
This is considered a drivers example and would greatly benefit from a restoration. It has a very solid foundation and would be a good candidate for a project.
