The MGB was manufactured and marketed by the British Motor Corporation from 1963 until 1980. The MGB was an innovative, modern design when it first launched, utilizing a unitary structure instead of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on competing models. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs and added overall vehicle strength at the same time. Wind-up windows were standard, and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom for being a relatively compact car. The MGB hits 0–60 mph in just over 11 seconds and while it might not be the fastest, with the top down it is the most fun.
This particular MGB has been in the same family for 30 years, originally bought by the current owners Father in 1989. Service records dating all the way back to November of that year through present day are found with great detail showing larger items like a rebuilt transmission and engine overhaul, to all the small details like new wiper blades or a thermostat. We’d classify this MGB as a Drivers Car, meaning it is not Concours ready (most cars aren’t), but shows wear, light fading, a few very small dings, but can still be driven and enjoyed for weekends to come! Or, this MGB would be a perfect candidate for a full or semi-full restoration as the parts and pieces are all there, solid, and with 30 years of same-family history has a pretty unique story. The vehicle includes a clip on hard top, the working soft top (one buckle is slightly finicky), and the zip up tonneau.
