The past 5 years has seen the Porsche craze reignited with seemingly every collector or car enthusiast trying to get their hands on an air-cooled 911. Whether this has to do with the rising value of the vehicles being used as investment opportunities, wide acceptance of the Porsche Outlaw culture, or a large increase in young (ie: celebrity / influencer) owners plastering their cars all over social media, we just don't know - but we have a feeling it's a nice mix of all three. For us, it's a bit different.
Our passion stems from 30 years of racing, building and customizing Porsche through our partner company, Kelly-Moss Road and Race. We're driven by the mechanical experience one has behind the wheel, the sound the door makes when it shuts - needless to say we know a thing or two about these cars.
For better or worse, Porsche is living in the spotlight with no signs of slowing anytime soon and there is no better time to join the family than now. Air-cooled Porsches are the most sought after of the bunch with the legendary 911 leading the pack, featuring an air-cooled engine from 1964 all the way to 1998. Of course you have the 356 variants from 1948 to 1965, but another classic that has seen a recent surge of interest is the often forgot about 914 and 914/6 launched in 1970. Each model brings its own charm, quirks and value to every owner. Luckily, we have a couple options on totally different ends of the Porsche spectrum to choose from.

Meet Rubin, another Safari 911 built by the legendary Kelly-Moss Road and Race in Madison, WI. This 1981 Porsche 911SC is the perfect City Safari car ready to plow through any pot hole or spend a weekend tearing up Fire Roads. Rubin has all the creature comforts you'd expect from a Porsche, with well thought out suspension upgrades to get you where a typical 911 won't.
If the 911 is a bit out of budget, or you're looking to add another Porsche to the stable, this 914 is a great choice. With a great entry-level price, these air-cooled cars are increasing in value week by week. They are also extremely light, mid-engined and feature a targa top making them a perfect choice for a weekend cruiser. This 914 is all original and shows exceptionally little wear for its age.
As the modern car world changed, more reliable power was demanded and a big increase in global emissions was pushed through legislation, the air-cooled engine of the past simply wasn’t able to keep up with these new demands. So in 1998 the water-cooled era began. Although purists of the time looked on with hate, water cooling allowed an engine redesign which brought more power, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. While Porsche had played around with water cooling in the past, the Porsche 911 Carrera (996) was the first production water cooled car to hit the market. This opened up a road map to future success for the brand and eventually won over the hearts of fans worldwide...mostly. If you're looking for a more modern Porsche or something you can truly drive daily, the later variants are yours to choose.

2005 brought a welcomed and huge upgrade to the Porsche 911 platform fans had been looking for since the launch of the 996. Besides a redesign of the exterior and interior, the Carrera S engine is the big news and, at 3.8 liters, is the largest engine Porsche has ever offered in a street-legal 911 at the time.
With a well-balanced chassis and a low curb weight, some say the Boxster is almost as fun as the much higher priced 911. The 3rd Gen brought larger overall dimensions, more chassis stiffness and more use of weight-saving aluminum increasing the cars power to weight ratio. The 6-speed manual, 7-speed PDK automatic and flat-six engines had small tweaks for better performance and efficiency for this model year, and lucky for you, this vehicle has the 6-speed. This 2014 Porsche Boxster Convertible is nearly new in every aspect of the word with under 8,000 miles on the odometer.
Porsche and racing go hand-in-hand since its first Le Mans win in the 1,100cc class in 1951. Porsche has always considered racing a major part of their ongoing vehicle development process and to this day release limited numbers of factory race cars for a variety of campaigns.
